Dark Hollow

Dark Hollow - John Connolly When you cry,
I will wipe away your tears.
When you hurt,
I will take the pain away.
When you fall,
I will lift you up again.
When you need,
I will give my everything.
When you lay,
I will be right by your side.
When you...
I will...

I don't know if it was the dreams Charlie was having or what, but this read took a while for me to warm to.

There was, as usual, the requisite amount of bloodshed and murder. Maybe a bit too much.

To sum up this read: A guy named Billy had a rough childhood. Later on in life, things don't go as planned and he ends up in deep trouble, owing money to some unsavory characters who will stop at nothing to get him and their possessions back.

To get away from it all he starts searching for his real dad.

During the search for his biological father he has to contact people who knew his mother who gave him away as a child.

These people who know of the mother and the secrets she held are being found murdered.

Charlie Parker hits the scene and some old players and new ones come to a head in this somewhat over-populated read.

Still, the mysteries are hard to solve, which is a great thing.
I look forward to reading about the many adventures of Charlie Parker whom dangers finds no matter the distance.
