Nightkeepers (Final Prophecy, Book 1)

Nightkeepers - Jessica Andersen This book was like having sex and the equipment is not what you expected. To top it off, he's like the energizer bunny and he keeps going and going, but all you want to do is get off. This book had a lot of internal dialogue that really didn't show off the characters like-ability factor. When they did interact it was very terse or a bit unbelievable. The romance aspects took a backseat to all the mythology and I sometimes wondered where this book was going and how long it would take to get there. I skimmed a lot of the Mayan history as it got real textbook at times when it should have had more of a flow to it than info dumps. One of the stars is due to the fact that this read is a huge undertaking and that deserves something. I will check out the next one to see if her skills and storytelling have improved.
