Painter had a more prominent role in this read than I would have liked. It was nice to see Monk out and about, but I feel like he needs a time-out so he can be with his wife. When he's in the field, family can be a distraction. Gray was spaced out and dealing with his parents and Seichan, who is the mysterious one. An enjoyable read that requires a little mindless-ness otherwise some things become unbelievable and some characters become cardboard-esque or have brittle bones.
