Cannibal Fat Camp

His father is embarrassed by him and his mother ignores him. He's sent to a counselor who suggests a camp that could help with weight loss.
Once there, things take a disastrous turn as the Tum Tum employees are felled by a not-so-myserious ailment, leaving these overly obese children to fend for themselves. They quickly eat up all the rations and one Camper takes the reins and deigns himself king. They shall eat the flesh of others.
The book started out great and kept my attention with the thoughts and doings of Miles. Once Charles took over and I read the letters that the children were penning for their family at home, I became a little uninterested. It was like once they were able to eat freely, there was no forward progression of the story other than to chase down Jenny. The ending was a doosey and I might look into other reads by this author. I liked it.
