No Plot? No Problem!: A Low-Stress, High-Velocity Guide to Writing a Novel in 30 Days

No Plot? No Problem!: A Low-Stress, High-Velocity Guide to Writing a Novel in 30 Days - Chris Baty No one to support your writing? You might want this book. Wanna do that NaNo thing where you write 50,000 words toward a novel in just 30 days? Here is a guideline. Want the intricacies of writing a novel? Look elsewhere. This is mainly a you-can-do-it book. Spit, or roll your words out and get rid of your inner editor until you finish your first draft. That's what I got out of this read. Write, write, write.

My only problem with this idea is that it could turn you from writing altogether if you don't reach your goal or find that you pushed yourself too hard. This is kinda like being at the lake and your loving, but asshole-ish sister pushes you in. You either sink or swim. Learn to stroke or have a fear of the water forever. Just saying.

On the flip side, it could be the guiding factor to push you to finish a novel or the novels you've started but put to the side due to your inner prude. Be free. Be careless. Just Write!
