Mockingjay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games)

Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins 2.25
Whoa. I had to push myself to finish this read. The new characters, the direction the rebellion was going and who was leading it, took so much from this story that my interest waned. Gale, was a jack-ass and he was always in the spot of "brother/father-figure so for me, that thread was a dead end. Taking Peeta from the story for so long was not a good move, whether they ended up together or not. It seemed like the author couldn't decide what her characters' bio were in previous books. The segments being underground, the training sessions, Coin, the Propaganda, Johanna's dysfunction, and Peeta's rescue really diminished the urgency and grittiness of the previous read. Just an Alright read for me.
