Wizard's First Rule (Sword of Truth, Book 1)

On a tight-wire with this one. I kept pushing to get started on this and put it on the back back-burner a couple of times. The writing is very simple and stretched out. There was really nothing new here. A wizard (not enough spells being thrown about). A boy's life is changed when he is given the option to go on a quest that could lead him to his death. There's a love interest who is forbidden to love and lots of crying, by the boy hero and the Confessor who can control you with a touch, therefore, you will confess to the Confessor. The end of the read got real gritty and I was consumed with the Mid-Sith? (forgot already) and then the enemy did not, of course, get what he wanted and he literally talks for 2 minutes while dying. I finished it so I will most likely read the next in the series as I already have it.
