This second book was drawn out and not as intense as the first read and I felt that Phedre was making the same mistakes and moves that she did in the previous book.

It took forever for Joscelin to be at peace with himself and his vows and having Phedre nearly die to do it made it not so romantic.

The death of some key players stunned me and that whole scenario was a good one.

Melisande is still around. She is conniving and still continues to out-think everyone in all the realms. Somebody stop this crazy chick already!

I will wait awhile before reading the next one as I really felt no jubilation at finishing this one.
