I am really glad to be done with this read. It took me forever and not for my lack of trying. I have to say that so far, the show is better than the book. It's almost as is every hundred pages of the book are the actual episodes. There is so much filler in the book that it should be half the size. The most fleshed out character IMO is Ty Lannister (the dwarf). His banter kept me going through some quite boring episodes. I also want to know more of Jon and the men on the wall. I have the next books, but am in no rush to start them.
