Okay, so I haven't read Anita in 2 or 3 years for Laurell's lack of writing and a plausible storyline. Good thing I did or I might not have liked this one at all. Actually, I don't think I liked it, I'm just getting my original Anita feix and deluding myself that things will get back to normal. I think that her telling us where the idea for the story was cooked up made it cheaper in my eyes, like something your high-school teacher would set up for you in English. "Class I want you to write a story of what happens after you bump into a long lost boyfriend who dumped you 5 years ago," and it got published. This and her previous reads come off as an INTERLUDE or snack before the full coarse meal. The question is: will the wait be worth it? Oh, and the part about the dog or kitten at the end was just wrong, paranormal read or not.
