Skin Deep
The details of the violent acts (rape, beatings, etc..) being dealt to the MC in the book sometimes threw me out of the story when in the next scene he would be having romantic or lustful thoughts for MC2 (I just puked but I want him to kiss me?!?). The story as a whole is good with compelling characters.
