Flesh and Blood

A History of Experimental Virology - Alfred Grafe, E. Reckendorf Claire's sister has been admitted to a hospital claiming that a vampire has fed on her.

Not believing her sister's sanity, Claire goes on a mission to find out exactly what it is that has her sister so confused. What she finds put her right in the middle of a killer and his prey.

I went into to this read expecting blood, gore, and a "real" vampire. What I got was a crazy man, a sensitive vampire, and a sleuthing sister.

This read was very simple, maybe overly so. I had a hard time believing in the character's actions and simply told, this read was not hard hitting enough to satisfy one like me.

Claire was sort of annoying and had a tendency to repeat things multiple times. The bad guy was exaggerated and quite honestly, I didn't connect with any of the characters which made it hard for me to like this read.

It almost had a paranormal (potential) romance vibe to it. Maybe that would have been the way to go.

The effort is acknowledged. I didn't hate it. It just wasn't for me.
