I'm wavering between 2 and 3 stars. It started out as this really good campfire story and then became more like the old school game Clue and how everything had to be researched, explained, and dissected. The characters were bland and by the time they became interesting, they were dying off. The story really dropped for me when Tod and the gang showed up. I really didn't see this read going in that direction. The writing was smooth, so I'll be giving David another try with Scavenger. I'm not in any hurry though~
