While suspense/mystery is not my first pick in the genre candy bowl, I do like to give one a try every now and then. While the writing itself was very good, the back-stories of the dead wife, alcoholic mom, and others bogged the story down and at times I became bored and wanted to skim. Although this read is not for me, It is a solid read for mystery readers who enjoy HFN endings.
