A Dance With Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5)

First of all, let me say that this author is a pro at his craft; writing. On the flip side I do not devoutly 5 star an author just because they publish something new, like I'm supposed to feel grateful. This book went NOWHERE! New, thought to be dead characters miraculously pop up in book 5 and that's supposed to make me happy? I think not. Just an alright read. The story itself was like a train ride through the desert; the scenery never changed, no salvation for the characters in sight, and you see things that are or are not really there. None of the characters shined. Even Jon was a puppet. Too many plots were left wide open.
