Elena. I don't hate her, but she's nothing interesting either. The constant flashbacks of her mom and sister were irritating in a way because they didn't move the story along.
I also had a problem with how the entirety of this read was about Elena recovering and the meeting of Lijuan. The ending was anti-climatic to say the least.
It was a little better than okay.
I would like some of the secondary characters to take the lead.
